History

The idea for Open Education Resources for Cancer (OERC) came up in a conversation between Dr. Lawrence Lessin and Anil Srivastava last year. This was further developed in a subsequent meeting with Mike Smith of Hewlett Foundation and Raj Shah of Capital Technology Information Services, Inc. (CTIS) followed by a conference call/meeting with Mike Smith, Dr. Larry Lessin and following colleagues participated:

After considerable consultation a day long planning meeting was held in Chicago on 29th May 2008 as ancillary to the 44th American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting attended by the following persons.

Drs. Dianne Kaseman and Kusuma Cunningham part of the OERC team but were not able to attend the above meetings.
